Sept. 15, 2021; Caribou, Maine – Pines Health Services announced today that John Armstrong, MD has joined the Caribou Health Center team.
“The addition of Dr. Armstrong to the Pines Health team allows us to expand our high quality primary health services,” said Pines Chief Operating Officer Lisa Caron. “Dr. Armstrong and his family wanted to move to the County after he completed his schooling and residency program, and we are thrilled to welcome him to Pines.”
Dr. Armstrong is welcoming patients of all ages who are in need of a Primary Care Provider. He has begun seeing patients at the Caribou Health Center at 74 Access Highway. In his new role as a family practice provider, he looks forward to providing compassionate care and demonstrating true understanding of health care to all his patients.
Dr. Armstrong graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Maine Orono. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he received clinical honors in family medicine, psychiatry, and dermatology. He recently completed his residency with Northern Light Family Medicine in Bangor.
In his spare time Dr. Armstrong enjoys spending time with his family. They enjoy outdoor activities, especially hiking. His wife is a teacher at the Limestone School and they have two small children. His family also loves animals and has two dogs, a cat and a hamster.
